Good morning Westview Family! A reminder of a few upcoming events. Mark you calendars now... This Saturday, August 24, there is a group going to see the new movie Overcomer at the Roxy in Dickson. The movie starts at 12:05 pm. The plan is to go to lunch together afterwards. If you can come for either or both, please join us. If you need a ride or more info, please get in touch with Jennifer Meade. Sunday, August 25, we will be having a bake sale. The proceeds from the sale will benefit our Fuel Ministry. This ministry provides food for children in our community who may need the extra support on the weekends. During the week these children get breakfast and lunch at school, but on the weekends they may go without. We, at Westview, support 12 children. There are other churches and groups in our community who support a number of children as well. We have determined that it cost about $20 a month to support 1 child with supplemental food/snacks for the weekend. So, come prepared to buy goodies to support a great cause. If you plan on baking items for the sale, please have the items packaged in a manner that is easily distributed. Also, if you'd like to pledge to support a child/children each month you can do so and mark the funds specifically for the Fuel Ministry. If you have any questions please get in touch with Patricia Riley. Homecoming for 2019 has been set for October 13. At this time the plan is to have BBQ. Please bring a dish(es) to go along with that. If you have any questions regarding this event please see Malinda or Keli. Mark your calendars. We hope to see you "home folk" there! Trunk or Treat is tentatively schedule for October 19. More details will follow. We love and appreciate all of you and wish God's blessings on the rest of your week. Upcoming Events! Saturday at 4 pm ~ Kenya Fundraiser Potluck Bingo with white elephant prizes! Calling all adults to come have fun, share your cooking skills with a favorite dish, and bring a white elephant gift (wrapped) to use as a bingo prize. Cards will be $1 each. All money will go toward the Kenya mission. This will be held at Chip & Lisa Winter’s home. Sunday after the morning service ~ Diaper baby shower for Hannah & Josh Currey for sweet blessing #3. Come shower them with diapers as they prepare to meet their sweet girl on 8/24/19. No newborn diapers needed, she’s expected to be a big girl! If you have any questions please message Janet.

What an awesome service this morning! We were blessed to hear our kids praising the Lord!

What a great week of Vacation Bible School! Our kids had fun and learned so much! Thanks to all who participated! Each year, we choose a song from VBS to share with the congregation on Sunday. This year's song is called "How Far Love Goes." Great job, everyone!
